Originally from Atlanta and now based in Florida, Cliff Hornsby launched his stand-up comedy career at the age of 82 in 2022. A graduate of McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre and Humor Institute, he has since won multiple comedy contests across Florida and reached the semi-finals of the 2024 Funniest Florida Comedian Contest.

Performing under the name Gerry Atric, he delivers clean, all-ages humor that has earned more than 10 million views across social media platforms.

Before comedy, Hornsby served in the U.S. Navy (1956–1960), earned a B.S. from Georgia State University, completed studies at the Georgia School of Banking, and graduated from the North Texas Farrier School in Mineral Wells, Texas.
